Bhoomitrasena Club of Sree Sankara College got registered under the Directorate of Environment and Climate Change (DoECC) in 2013, with Registration No. BMC-248/EKM/21/13.
AIM
To involve actively in environmental protection activities and extension programmes to create awareness in students regarding the conservation of environment and its resources.
Objectives
- Encourage the students to appreciate environment and be aware of environmental issues .
- Provide them environmental education opportunities and involve them in addressing environmental issues.
- Make use of the enormous potentials of students for the betterment of the society

Activities of BMC
- Organize Seminars, Workshops, debates, lectures, and popular talks on environmental issues in the College.
- Carry out field visits to local environmentally important sites Observance of environmentally significant days.
- Conduct extension activities like supply saplings for the local people, plant trees in near by locality, deliver talks on relevant topics like Health & Hygiene, Organic Composting etc.
